i’m so ambivalent in this, because i really Enjoy CCB because that was fun. and before that, i liked LA4 (the instrumental was very nice too because it was kinda phonk inspired) and then i usually enjoy B-sides more.
But i’m more like.. idk what i want?
i like their noise music but i think i want The Whole thing to be more interesting, like even concept wise i think they have the potential to do soooooooo much more fun stuff but it’s always very just.. similar? like even concept photos are the same these days. how do you feel? idk if you share opinions in stayville you get witchhunted but maybe here in this retrospring it’s ok😭
exactly!! like.. i think my true opinions on skz music would actually get me roasted over an open flame so i will keep those thoughts to myself but idk... their music just feels so one note to me these days and even the recent songs i like i feel like i do so Only because ive listened to them so many times. i truly did love the maniac album and every album prior to that but since then... even the bsides have been struggling to spark some emotion in me. i just really think they need to involve Other people in their writing process but the "self produced idols" narrative is where kpop lives and dies so.. that'll never happen.
i completely agree with your point I really don't have a problem with noise music at all (i ADORE nct 127 for gods sake) I think it could be so much more interesting though TT
