ubi i already commented on your fic about jake's characterization but i just wanted to say again how much i loveeeeeeeee him and heejake in the first taste 😍🥰😞 ive read a few vampire-slash-supernatural-creature x human fics with jake in it and he's often the human which I LOVE and makes a lot of sense but it's so fun to see a new dynamic and a new take with jake as the vampire this time. and i love how despite jake being the ~sexy strong powerful supernatural creature~ this time, the power dynamics in the fic is still soooo heejake! and vampire jake is still so quintessentially jake! as a i said in my comment, he's so puppy-like (like jake irl) and i love that even though he's the vampire between them, there's this aspect of heejake's dynamics where heeseung has so much power over him and is able to tame(?) him and jake basically hangs onto heeseung's every word. like the scene in the couch with their friends where jake almost bites him and he's like "Jaeyun." all serious and in italics THAT SCENE IS SO DELICIOUSSSSSSS like OMFJRBFJTRNRUDJSJSSJSJSH bites fist. But despite jake being all that it doesn't feel imbalanced at all because heeseung so obviously worships and treasures jake 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 he really would die for him omg 🥹
and last! ig something i'd love to read more of (if you decide to add to the story or if ever you just wanna talk about jake's character more) is jake's pov vis-a-vis insecurities about being a vampire, feeling like a monster, having to hide parts of himself from heeseung.... my sweet baby 😞🥹🥰
hi again!!! thx for commenting bc i still have a Lot i to say abt jake's character hahaa. firstly, the supernatural jake/human hee dynamics were very fun to explore and the power balance was something that i LOVED writing cause like, imagine your boyfriend has literal non-human abilities and power in his lineage and all he wants to do is nibble on you? so im glad you liked that too. the scene on the couch near the beginning i also love bc i wanted it to show their dynamics as a couple but also get a bit into why they're so obsessed w each other.
about that scene ^, obviously they had a bond formed already at that point, and it was very new when they had to separate for four months and do long distance, so it really amplified all those feelings of need and caused all the separation anxiety they get. jake, despite being a vampire, has never formed a bond with a human before so he didn't really know all the affects of having them be apart for months with a fresh bond between them that needed nurturing. ykwim?
lastly, i would definitely not be opposed to writing another fic from jake's pov. perhaps set from earlier on in there relationship to showcase his insecurities before the end of this fic where they worked thru a lot of them. to scratch the surface on that, basically since he was born in the city where a majority of vampires reside, he isn't used to being around people who aren't accustomed to vampires. once he found out heeseung was from a small town he panicked a bit and it sent him spiraling about how to not freak heeseung out with his "vampire-ness" and scare him off, which he didn't want to happen because he liked heeseung so much. there's probably also some past issues (family related) that would cause him to act this way too, like his parents warning him to be careful around humans ever since he was little. heeseung mentions in the fic that jake has never talked to him much about his family, nor has he met them, so it would be interesting to get into some of that. anyways, i wouldn't be opposed to writing more from this universe :)
(also i agree, heeseung would 100% die OR kill for jake. he doesn't play about that boy, seriously)
