rly though. besides it being perhaps the most popular chan ship on this side of the fandom, i think they really are so fucking weird about each other. the whole Little Brother thing and the "ever since we were born" thing. they are NOT normal about each other. i like that they're a piece of Aus for each other. i like that Lix baked cookies for him and full on called to say, "come home soon so you can eat them while they're warm". im trying so hard to be chill right now and may be overcorrecting to the point where this will be just word salad but i just think there's a very deep affection between them that's so lived in i can't help but read it as #truelove. chan almost crying when asked what felix is to him??? chan very poorly hiding the hurt and confusion when it came up that felix cuddled everyone But him?? felix gremlin voice and bratty antics caught either in the background of a talker or shown for all of three seconds?? they're comfortable with each other in a way that isn't earned easily. and i think this makes a lot of sense considering felix is perhaps the textbook example of Likable and Endearing, and chan, despite all the hurt and disappointment of his trainee years, has seemingly always wanted closeness and affection. i think their bond means a lot to each other and i see a lot of it in the omissions. tinhatting or otherwise, it's kinda hard to deny they care deeply for e/o and sre either private about it or straight up nerfed by the company presumably for profit lmao. i can't even explain what it IS i like because it's so Inherent to them. it rly is one of those The Girls That Get It, Get It situations.
