Also, it might look good to let your colouring tell the story of the details instead of lineart. Lots of little bits of lineart can seem a bit messy or grainy, especially if the lineart is black. Instead of including wrinkles, skin folds, stubble etc in your lineart, include it in your colouring - let the shading imply where there are skin boundaries and such.

OUHHH I SEE :0 i’m definitely more of a lineart guy myself bc shading properly isn’t one of my strong suits unless i have an exact ref but ill give it a go :D someone told me to try coloured lineart b4 too so ill mix it up a bit :3
