At first I assumed Laistrygon and marquis were both on strained/bad terms with eachother, but the fact marquis actually still loves him so much but it isn't mutual makes me soooo 😭😭😭😭😭😭😢
all I can say is that it's Very Complicated: Marquis kinda both loves and hates Laistrygon. Marquis is so eager to get Laistrygon's attention one way or another. he's just overflowing with emotions, he was never really taught how to control them beyond being punished for any negative outbursts.
but yeah, Lais is just terrible towards both Marquis and Antiphates: he's kind of written off the former (except with some underhanded political control on earth) and oppressively controlling towards the latter.
