MARQUIS

how he sees Laistrygon
teacher, father figure, an authority figure in general. adores him, even when Marquis finds Laistrygon to be kind of a huge hardass at times.

how he sees Antiphates
wimp, victim, prey (won't eat them though, Laistrygon would get mad), maybe after some time passes he sees them as an ally and a younger sibling of sorts (who he'll still keep bullying, lol)

how he sees Enigma Beast
initially, a cute creature he wants to tame. but after EB shies away or grows aggressive towards him, he thinks they're just a stupid animal.

LAISTRYGON

how he sees Marquis
when Marquis was young, Laistrygon was interested in seeing what he could do with his shapeshifting powers. In the present, Laistrygon sees him as wasted potential... if he could just pick up the pace again, he could go somewhere. only time will tell, but he isn't holding his breath.

how he sees Antiphates
great potential with the weakness of being attached to human beings. he realizes that by trying to control what Antiphates can do with their life they'll reject him so he just observes quietly.

how he sees Enigma Beast
simultaneously an aspect of himself and yet not: they've been separate for so long that Enigma Beast developed a personality of its own that in many respects they're discrete individuals. nonetheless, the two are still very close, despite their internal conflicts of interest.

ANTIPHATES

how they see Marquis
initially, a cruel power-tripping cannibal. after Laistrygon tells Antiphates he's disappointed with Marquis's lack of progress with his studies and it appears like he's writing Marquis off, Antiphates is motivated to help Marquis to prove Laistrygon wrong... Marquis initially rejects Antiphates's help until he realizes he can't wrap his brain around things like alchemy on his own. So they grow a little closer, and Antiphates sees Marquis as stubborn and slow to warm up, but there's still possibilities for personal growth.

how they see Laistrygon
their creator, teacher, master, and yes, their father, even when Laistrygon isn't fond of being seen that way. their feelings towards him are very conflicted due to their obvious distaste towards humans while Antiphates is very fond of them, with time, they grow resentful of Laistrygon due to his monstrous behaviour.

how they see Enigma Beast
"mother" figure, EB was especially physically affectionate towards Antiphates when they were young and vulnerable. in the present, Antiphates keeps their distance from EB due to their link to Laistrygon.

They try to avoid it as much as they can. Sometimes they might give into the temptation though, like, for instance, if the human is a danger to them and/or people they feel protective of. otherwise, to somehow keep their predatory urges in check they might hunt and eat small animals.

and... well, I imagine it's complicated. Antiphates, upon first learning about Marquis's eating habits and the way he treats people in general, tries to avoid interacting with him out of sheer distaste. of course Marquis just finds this funny and wants to bully them some more.

with Laistrygon there isn't much they can do to change his mind. Laistrygon would be confused by Antiphates's change of heart, thinking they interact with humans too much and is growing soft on them.
