random thoughts that haunt me
pre amnesia caelus having a total different personality than when he has amnesia so when he gets them back, he has to struggle acting as his amnesiac self and questioning if he can say everythi g he did with the astral express was fake
added dancae angst: pre amnesiac caelus being the kind of person dan heng wouldnt consider falling for but they are now dating but shit hits the fans when caelus get his memories and caelus, much to his displeasure, retains his feelings
did you really have to drop angst on me the day before my birthday (even if i saw it after) LOL...
man..... amnesia plots are always rough.... because on one hand, it is understandable to doubt your experiences when you're drastically different from how you were like when you didn't have your memories. but that also doesn't really make the time you spent and what you felt in the moment less genuine or something fake either. for better or for worse, both versions of yourself are equally real and valid. it's just a matter of trying to reconcile the two images you have of yourself....
as for the dancae angst part..... honestly, i think dan heng would understand the identity struggle better than anyone else because he himself has had to deal with the burdens of dan feng's sins and the lingering memories from his failed descaling ceremony. i think that even if caelus is different now, dan heng would make an effort to get to know him as he is.... if the feelings fade in the end, then it happens; still, they need to try.... because there is love there regardless.
