Hi there! Hope your hectic week at work has given you a break. Curious question, what are some of your favorite tropes to write and read?

My favorite tropes... Hmm.
I love A/B/O, but specifically non-traditional ABO like Alpha/Alpha or Alpha/Beta.
Hurt/Comfort is another of my favorites I love it so much both physical and emotional.
This may not count, but monsters... I love any kind of monster AU, especially if it teeters towards horror a little. So Vampires, Werewolves, Mers, etc.
For reading specifically I like the above but I also super love things like Fantasy AUs but I tend to struggle to write them so I don't unless I get really invested in an idea.

What's the genre/topic you enjoy more when it comes to writing, and the same about reading :0?
When it comes to writing it varies a bit. Hurt/Comfort is one of my favorites, but so are stories that involve crime or mysteries if I'm writing something more longform. ABO is always fun, ofc, but I love things that occasionally dip into horror or fantasy and really want to write some sort of fantasy AU in the future.
For reading I always prefer fantasy, especially weird fantasy or darker fantasy and also Danmei! I will, however, also really enjoy a good horror book if it deeps into fantasy or Sci-fi. I'm a big Tolkien fan and also love books like His Dark Materials, Dragonlance, and the Deathgate Cycle. Recently I've been reading The Craft Sequence by Max Gladstone.

What do you enjoy writing the most? (Dialogues, introspection, scenary/emotions, etc)
I think it's probably a tie between introspection and body language.
With introspection I just really love showing a character's train of thought as well as using it to sometimes be an unreliable narrator. I think it's really fun, especially with characters who tend to have low self esteem or are a bit pessimistic.
Body language I enjoy as someone who's used to watching it pretty closely (I've run in some interesting circles LOL) as I like showing tiny shifts in emotion or mood that a person may not even notice. Sometimes body language tells stories that words and feelings don't ♥

Oh, maybe! I'm a big multishipper but I do tend to have my favorites:
So for Genshin my current favs are: Neuvithesley/Wriollette, Haikaveh/Kavetham, and Chiscara/Scarachi
For HSR my favs are: Aventio/Ratiorine, RenHeng/HengRen, and JingRen/RenJing.
(I'm old and very bad at remembering the actual switch ship names for them)

What are your favorite characters at the moment and which of their personality traits you like/relate the most to?
Oh man, what a question. I'd say there's four atm that I really favor.
Wriothesley is definitely one! There's a lot of qualities in him I relate to. Such as being pretty chill and laid back usually until someone fucks around ♥ I'm also super into tea. It's something I've loved since I was young. I have a collection. I also relate to the whole 'coping via gallows humor' thing a lot. I think he's the most relatable of my favs tbh.
Dr. Ratio is another fav. I doubt I could ever be as smart as him, but I relate to his exhaustion with idiots fnhhgdfjkggfd. I think I kind of just love his really brusque form of caring for others and how much disdain he has for those who use knowledge selfishly.
Alhaitham... Similar to Dr. Ratio. I also really relate to his 'Work during work hours only' ethic, and I love how he speaks his mind. It's relatable as I grew up in a household where hard truths were just... Said.
Blade... I feel like if I relate to Blade it's concerning dfngkjfdg. I just love how tragic he is and how horribly damaged he is, yet he can still be sweet at times. Despite his desire to die and the way he tries to depersonalize himself, there's always still that small bit of him that's kind and I adore that.

what fic(s) are you working on currently?
At the moment I'm a bit slow due to moving but I'm working on a Ratiorine piece to celebrate getting Aventurine and also Flavors of Home Chapter 8. I'm hoping once I'm recovered from cleaning, a long roadtrip, and unpacking I'll write more!

HC Wrio is the big spoon and Neuvi little spoon? Sometimes he gets smothered in the pectorals? Wdyt?
I love this!! Thinkin about Wrio being really clingy when he sleeps and wrapping his arms around Neuvillette's head to hold him close and just... Squishing him against his chest. Neuvillette not wanting to move both cus he doesn't want to wake him but also cus it's cute... Also Wriothesley's chest... I bet Wriothesley makes an amazing big spoon.
