hellooo so i love ur hm au so much!! idk how the other readers feel about the progression of hm but i just wanna say i hope its long and slow as possible because this is one of the few aus ive read that have a decent slowburn. it just bothers me a lot when the character or story developments come too fast because theyre so unrealistic and it makes the story so boring. ive reread hm many times already and its only been possible because every part of it is funny, relevant and the development is so satisfying to read and i love it even more knowing there's so much left to go so im not sure what youve got planned but im kinda hoping it will be long. since in my mind i feel like thats the way to go to give the characters and story justice idk. alsoo i really love hmyj, to me hes actually really simple to understand - ofc not the type of guy id actually get along with tho because like hmbg ive had a couple similar experiences/feelings but with a girl irl. i feel like his personal beliefs/morals (whatever u call it) are quite strong and straightforward but the way he's perceived and his aura (????) are what confuse people. so yeah when i see some people get bemused by his actions im guessing theyre expecting the story to go faster and havent gotten a grasp of his character? but i love it how it is so so much and im addicted to thinking of how hmbmjn will progress from here on out. i feel like i just vomited out a bunch of sentences and im not sure if any of it makes sense but i just wanted to leave something to let you know that im really in love with ur au and will happily wait however long u need for future updates!! thank you so much and also for the character playlists, i love music so much and ive found so many cool new artists and songs to be obsessed with!! especially from hmyj's playlist haha
omg this was so sweet and made my day genuinely better. thank you sooo soooo much!!! hm is def a slow burn type au!!! they jus have to go thru so much to really evolve as characters and for it to feel natural to me (especially because it’s heavily inspired by my real life hs/college experiences so evensome of the texts/convos are taken from that and thats why it’ll happen at a pace that was similar to my experience!). as for hmyj… hes both easy and hard to understand imo.. like its all about… is he really showing u all of him in the first place? this is a person whos been media trained since like birth and although he is honest for the most part… that doesn’t necessarily mean he doesnt choose more sneaky ways/choose not to say important info. we’re viewing him from hmbg’s lense.. who doesn’t know much at all yet. but in terms of rn i think its very clear he finds the whole situation w bg amusing and thinks its fun.
