hiii hiii so idk if this is not allowed but im a new reader and ive finished the last update of the hmbgyj au and all i can say is that it kinda made me ????? that some qrts seemed to miss most points in panels that i was like āwait what?ā or worse not seeing ppl talk abt itš idk if it was bc im also a neurodivergent or like if itās bc i faced something similar (like i was thrown the same judgy words albeit diff circumstances).
i thought that it was pretty shitty of yj to say all that to bg when bg just so easily opened up and like let yj in (like he said even though lots have warned him abt yj but still he put faith on him) and the panel where he told yj that he wouldve never done all that to yj (which was proven on the first few panels before that where he told yunjin & somi he wouldnt like to see yj as a collateral damage for his goal for the fratboys) and honestly it hit home š i was like OH I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT FEELS LIKE bc ive been in a similar situation where someone slighted me also after i protected them and lastly i also thought it was still nice that bg is self aware and respects himself enough to want to remove himself from that kind of situation bc when i was experiencing that i didnt know really what to do and i held onto that friend thinking i can still salvage our friendship (it was a mixture of hnk & yj situation) but then again yj DOESNT KNOW about all that so!!! but he apologized and quickly realized what he said was wrong so itās forgiven now but im ngl it hurt me to read it too š£
that being said!! im so excited for the next update to come!! im actually curious about the redemption arc of yj and hnk and honestly id like to know too if sb will have a significant role in between yjbg. but you dont have to answer those, i just wanted to mention itās part of those im curious about as the story progresses!!! like just points or details im looking forward to!! (since the last update hinted about the forest though im not sure if that was the place where sb and bg met?)

p.s. idk if this fits the discourse category bc i dont really mean this for any of what i said to be elaborated like i just wanted to talk about what i thought abt the recent updates fjjfkfkdkdkd (see this is my neurodivergent ass not knowing shit so im gonna say sorry in advance if this did come across as THAT but i swear thatās not what its supposed to be!! šš)
PLEAHSHEJE people have diff ways of intepreting this and i like that theres so many theories/views on every part because it's fun for me to read!!!! i feel like to an extent yj does know about all that tbhā¦ but he didnāt expect bgās reaction to be like thatā¦ and thats what he likes about bg.. that heās not boring and he actually has to put in effort to predict what bgās gonna do next. not many people can surprise hmyj but hmbg is one of them and THAT right there is what had him really attracted to bg in the first place. i think to a certain extent hmbg knows that they key to make this go anywhere/do what he needs to do isā¦ not lose that interest and keep that element of surprise. itās sort of burdening in the sense thatā¦ u have to STAY interesting. hmyj knew what he said was wrong from the beginning tbhā¦ so i guess the question is did he genuinely apologize bc he felt apologetic or did he jus do it because it was an unplanned reaction from bg so he said it to fix things. i donāt think bg is SUPER hurt about it.. i think hes just frustrated because he IS attracted to yj and thinks he has the most potential to be his type.. bg is complicated like that.
i donāt know if hmyj technically needs to be redeemedā¦ if you look at my carrd.. all these characters were created to be as 3d as possible (esp bc theyre based off of real ppl in my life thruout the yrs).. so theyāll fuck up and everything. hmbg has his faults as well and if we look at it then.. hmyj hasnt done anything specifically to be redeemed for to him, i wonāt ever take the complete essence of his character away. both hmbg and hmyj have different thought processes on a lot of things but they also have similar thought processesā¦ bg was attracted to THIS version of yj. so i donāt know if he wants him to change all that much either. hmbg understands yj better than people think he does and this dynamic he has w him is what he likes.. and honestly speaking hmyj is more open than hmbg. hmbg has the potential to be even more toxic than him so i really donāt believe the word redemption used specifically only for hmyj is the right terminology.
as for hmhkā¦ well everything ab him going forward depends on whether or not hmbg even wants him as a friend again in the first place. remember: all these characters are meant to be as 3d as possible so thereās many things that could happen regarding their friendship and whether or not theyāll ever see eye to eye again or id their friendship will become even more toxic.
sbn has a significant role from tne start of the au because HE is hmyjās best friend. literally no one else knows hmyj like sbn doesā¦ and they have a very close bond. in terms of frat dynamics taehyun would be hmyjās little brother and sbn is the one he views as an equal. even to be yeonjunās best friendā¦ u def need to be at least a little bit smart soā¦ but i do i think every character small or big will have a role to play in terms of bmjnās dynamics. the au has always been ab exploring their lives/dynamics without each other w their friends/acquaintences and exploring their college life/what comes with it. the frat will all play a big role and so will the people in bgās life. everything connects to bmjnās relationship but the frat and their work duties will be highlighted as well.. iāve made it a personal mission to world build as much as possible in this format.
