sure! i've been a fan of his work for some time. he doesn’t shy away from the darker aspects of human nature, which makes the characters feel real, flawed, and the narrative feels timeless. i don't want to go into it too much just in case you're looking to read it for yourself (if you haven't already), but i do believe it'll be worth your time!

admittedly, not really. the only advice i can really give you is to not be afraid to put yourself out there. most of the friendships i made at university were made by being put together for group projects, or at societies. you've just got to find the confidence to actually speak to people.

i have, though i didn’t find it as compelling as many seem to. orwell’s portrayal of a dystopian society is definitely sharp, but the writing felt heavy-handed at times, and the characters lacked the depth i tend to look for in a story. it’s an important book, certainly, with ideas worth considering, but it wasn't my cup of tea.
