While many define love as tenderness, would you say love means the same thing to you?

Hmm– I don't think love can be defined so simply. Tenderness is an important part of love, but it's not the whole story. Love can also be trust and selflessness, it can take many forms- from the deep bond between family and friends to the romantic love between partners. But for me, love means a ‘deep connection’ with someone, a sense of safety and acceptance, and a desire to see the other person happy and fulfilled. Also it’s about being there for someone through thick and thin, supporting them, and experiencing life together in all its ups and downs. :>

I do think of love as tenderness, along with comfort, warmth, steadiness, and constant. Sure it can be thrilling and ecstatic, but what matters the most, I think, is the balance between the two.

It does, actually! To love is to understand your loved ones as a being and to understand means to be patient and to be patient is to be tender!!! (I’ve been in love for a long, long time and everytime she looks at me in the eyes with such tenderness, my heart melts a little faster. Maybe this is the kind of tenderness my heart has long for.)

it’s actually depends with who you settle with… if you found the right one then i’m on the same boat! but love not only in relationships form it can be with a pet, family and a friends
