word vomit everything u can to me about ur swk pls (i love him)

[SHARP INHALE]

The first thing you need to know about my Lego Sun Wukong is that he is unhinged — he's unhinged and stupidly smart in ways he shouldn't be but he is and, quite possibly, is one of the smartest beings in the universe not because he knows what x + y is but because he learns and learns and learns and learns so much that it's baffling why he hasn't shown skills of that yet in the Show but I digress

My Sun Wukong is also.. visibly and physically and mentally and emotionally tired. I love the show a lot but something I always found odd was how they never quite show Wukong on his own, without an audience watching him. And, granted, I do know that Xiaotian is the protagonist of the show but we've had segways and moments of Xiaojiao, Pigsy, Tang, Sandy and even Macaque and Red Son on their own but never Wukong? So I imagine behind all those smiles and fake attitude and the "i'm retired, ok?" he's.. actually fucking tired from being blamed for everything, for ruining everything for being called to action for everything, for being the first person people glare at when they ask "who broke this?" and it sucks — he's just tired.

Smaller bits of trivia:

He lives in a temple rather than the mansion inside the waterfall—well, kind of! The mansion's actually mostly magic—it spreads to the entirety of the mountain and each room leads further and further down into the temple until you're on the other side of the island and closer to the city where Xiaotian and the others live! yeah :D

He's a gardener; he managed to replant and recover all the damage done to Flower Fruit Mountain when it was burnt down and he has this strong appreciation for nature. He respects it so much he mourned the mountain's "death" before putting himself to work. He keeps a garden on his temple and tends to the flowers daily.

He can cook. Because he has no other choice; he houses wayward spirits or lost yaoguai (demons) that tend to be the size of the mountain monkeys or sometimes smaller and they accept only cooked food from him. So he learned to cook until it stopped being spat back in his face and when Nezha moves in to live with him he's pleasantly surprised when Wukong hands him something edible and, gasp, actually good????? incredible

Wukong trained himself in various weaponry, not just long-arm weapons. When he saw he could shapeshift the staff into various things, including other weapons, he wondered if he could.. y'know.. perhaps wield a sword and see if it would work better this time than the others. He's a curious person, yknow, and I doubt he's the BEST at every weapon he shifts the staff into but Wukong's the intelligent stone monkey for a reason and I love to think he'd be capable of using a crossbow :D

scars scars scars scars scars all over!! and tattoos :D

opposite to Macaque's smoke which makes people sleep and allows him to enter their dreams, Wukong's smoke brings life to beings and it can expand better if used via a wind instrument such as the Dizi (flute)! The song he plays for the mountain coats it in this sunset-like color and it blends wonderfully when the sun rises over the horizon, meaning he wouldnt have to glamor anything and everyone would assume it's just an effect of the light shining from the sun

gamer swk real because his VA games a ton

genderfluid + aroace mlm with a specific taste in Liu'er Mihou aka the Six-Eared Macaque aka bitch emo boy that keeps eating his snacks at 10am

dad. father. dad shaped. i dont make the rules sorry he literally adopted an entire group of monkeys and they all excited called themselves the Sun Family and he loved them so so much why did they have to die why did th- come on now
