what if someone doesn’t have a complete fic under 2k or less. what if they are a little longer? all of my one-shots are 3-4k words long. can i submit that? would that make me disqualify? also, do we have to type the excerpt in the answer box or link a document or google drive?
Hi hi! We ask for works/excerpts of 2k words or less as samples to make sure writers can work within that limit (which will be the limit in the anthology).
The application form states, "Examples that are longer [than 2k words] will not be considered, and your application may be disqualified," which we absolutely don't want for you! So please make sure your samples qualify; you could write a new, shorter piece to apply, or trim/edit an older piece to fit the word limit. There's still time! :D
As for how to submit, links to Google Drive/Gdocs are fine!
