Outside of Mariah (which wasn’t even a fight) it seems like everyone who’s caused grief for Almonde has been a dude. Has that affected how she views men vs women?

YES, she is ever so SLIGHTLY skewed towards being more patient with women hence why all the staff at her orphanage are female. She still had an “incident” even with that though so it’s not like she still won’t absolutely slaughter a girlie if she gets too huffy with her.

does Almonde have some control over the type devil she turns someone into. Like could she make another Mariah type? (that’s more bound to her will)

Starts off unable to do that but as she gets stronger she’s able to influence certain aspects that would be more beneficial in a fight.

So Almonde could literally sick Stratham on Lazzy because she hates him? Or would she not do that at the risk of damaging Miks core? Since Stratham would flip out because of Miks aura

Risk of him damaging Mik’s core is high but again blood-bind means Stratham will most likely seize up if he gets too close to destroying the core. Part of the storyline is Al having him and another henchman tracking Laz so he’s not too far out of her periphery.

I asked if Stratham regret his decision few weeks ago. And I saw an answer that said Almonde turned him into Guard Vent. Yeah, he definitely regret it. Anyway my question is. Do Almonde sometime walk Stratham on a leash like an abused dog or she just left him rotten in her basement?

Either seals him away somewhere or “reactivates” him for a mission (or to test out some new ability of hers)

So Stratham becomes a devil and can’t die unless Almonde does through a blood pact, but he has to feel all her pain forever, witnessing all her atrocities and being her shield. Crazy how he once wore Armis Dei as his armor to shield him but he is now her shield in devil form, bound to her forevermore

The armor became his own prison, I love irony and so does Almonde ☺️

you ever get hung up on au/what-if scenarios of your own ocs? like a sort of man what if the story went differently with these guys being smarter or dumber or something?

Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I'd gone with my original plan to retcon Almonde's original design and make her a dude with Mikhail as the token dead wife but then the Castlevania inspo would have been too on the nose

What do you think of the Traveler in Genshin story-wise, not their design?
Recently after Arlecchino's story quest I've seen a lot of people complain that the Traveler is just a tool for HoYo to make the limited 5* look really good, constantly needing them to save their ass because they fail at everything
And to be honest I kinda agree, since Inazuma they're just there doing nothing.
They are in my opinion a failure in storytelling born from the fact that they are a free character everyone gets.

See, all that annoyance would be valid if this was not a game designed specifically to make people pay to obtain other characters. Not that I'm gonna defend what is clearly a self-insert but I think if people went into this expecting the traveller to be anything other than a reactionary "main character" for them to imprint their power fantasies onto in a gacha game then they are better off reading a Korean manwha because at least those ones have more chances of the MC having a semblance of a personality of their own lol
And hey, if we're being really technical here and playing devils advocate for hoyo, since Inazuma tabibito-san has in short order:

Set off the event for killing a harbinger (by beating Signora in a fight)
Basically beat the raiden shogun in their round 2 fight. Sure, power of friendship but it was through them that it came about.
Solved and ended the groundhog day time loop in Sumeru's first third of the archon quest
Became the sword Nahida needed to thrash Scaramouche
Unravelled the murder mystery behind the disappearing women in fontaine
hard carries whatever NPC is the main character in the various world quests littered across the regions.

Now to reiterate, I'm not disagreeing with you. I just think it's not something one should come into a gacha game expecting unless the powers that be decide to flip things on their head and, God forbid, make the traveller (again who is meant to be a self insert and thus deliberately vaguely moral to reflect the average viewers decisio making) an active protagonist. In a game that is meant to sell other characters.

He couldn’t even if he tried because he’s basically blood-bound to Almonde as her forcibly muted shield/punching bag for eternity

Hello Homura, I have a question for you, you see, I am a book writer and I really liked both the characters of BloodLight and the plot of it itself, so could I create a BloodLight book? If you allow me to do so, I would ask you to please explain to me the lore of BloodLight and the lore of each of the characters. Thank you so much.

I’m incredibly flattered to be presented with such an opportunity but I’ll ultimately have to decline on that. This is a highly personalized endeavour for me that I’d like to pursue myself and I’d rather not bring in an additional outside element that might potentially twist things regardless of how much explaining is done beforehand. Perhaps once things are more tangible, be it via a WEBTOON or just more established comics then I’ll consider the possibility of it getting novelized. Thank you!

Hypothetically, in spite of being a devil, what kind of dad would Mik be to Laz? I imagine he'd be a good dad, but God help you if you hurt Laz.

Papa bear for sure but also ngl Laz would be kinda intimidated for the first couple of years due to Mik’s general disposition (stone face, general low energy that can be mistaken for stoicism) and Mik sure as help doesn’t help matters with his tendency to mask his awkwardness behind his poker-faced front. But once Laz gets a little old enough he’ll see through it really quickly, take advantage of that (after testing the waters) and then Mik will quickly find himself dealing with a mini-Almonde that he can’t really say no to LOL

As someone who likes analyzing character design and what their designs say about the character, the fact you just throw random parts of other characters that you think are appealing into your OC's is simultaneously hilarious and infuriating.

"Oh this character has a visual motif similar to this other character, is this supposed to be means these characters are similar in some way-"
"Nah, I just thought it looked cool"

Hey man sometimes you gotta turn the brain off and let rule of cool take precedent. Can always work backwards and assign some convoluted meaning later (wait till people find out that Cole was initially based off of Timothée Chalamet)
