Can we see more Odd content?
Well hey there!
I do have some Odd projects/comms on the docket, it's just I can only control the rate of how they come out based on the contents of my bank account/whether or not writer's block is kicking my ass (both of which can unfortunately be very fickle, lol)
Long and short; stuff is on the way, there just might be a bit of a wait
Your OCs thoughts on NNN? Do they participate?
Odd, initially, didn't see much point in participating; his personal time can feel fraught enough as is, he wasn't too keen on piling on the stress of being backed up along with that.
Then Hope came into his life, and suddenly he had to start playing on expert mode.
(He's not sure what it says about him that he's fine with razor's edge he has to put his will on because of her)
Is Jeri dead or still alive?
Dead; brushed elbows with the wrong people in a conspiracy around Petriveil and died from presumed murder about a year or so before Odd finished college.
Or so is story most people know, anyhow; while they did find Jeri's body at the site where he died, when his corpse was checked on in the morgue he somehow went missing-//
What's the strangest thing your oc has eaten?
A congealed chunk of artificial flesh.
Odd got trapped in Rosemary's labyrinthian "research" facility once, and he had scant few sources of sustenance.
when (or if) your oc goes grocery shopping what is the first thing they go for??
For Odd, the coffee; not so much to actually restock, but to compare if it's any better than the stuff he gets from his usual sources (which more often than not, they aren't).
That and the bakery; he and Mauve always claim they'll just window shop each time, but they both always end up walking away with some kind of sweet-//
OC's fav ride/activity at amusement parks?
House of Mirrors
Odd's inner cheeky bastard comes out when he's in one of those, the shenanigans he's able to pull of with Giratina to confound other park goers is a sight to behold.
Outside of that, if there are any rigged carnival games, he also likes to catch the stand runners off guard by using his loose adherence to physics and actually winning them.
What's a lesser known fact about your oc that will surprise your viewers?
Odd actually has a form of dyslexia: due to his two brains (one of them specifically hardwired/align with a plane of existence where everything is distorted), he'll occasionally see/process writing in a way where it's very jumbled up.
He was able to get handle on it pretty early (kind of working backwards with words based on what what letters are in them they appeared mixed up) and its essentially a non issue as an adult, but it can occasionally flare up pretty bad when he's feeling stressed or upset.
How does your oc train their pokemon?
If Odd's team ever is in the mood to train, he more often than not asks the Pokemon in question what exactly they'd like to focus on for the session (be it the applications of a move, strategies against a certain opponent, traits related to their stats, etc.), And focus on that while trying to weave in some general upkeep of their skills during the specified training
The vibe is usually very casual, though: Odd is by no means a professional battler, and given some of the life-threatening strife they've been through in the past he wants his team to take training only when they want and at their own pace.
If your oc had and anime what songs would be their op and ed?
In regards to Odd:
For the Ed, I'll be a normie and say The Real Folk Blues from Cowboy Bebop; the bluesy vibes would fit well for him, I'd think.
As for the OP, I'll stray into possibly cringey AMV territory and forgo an actual anime track entirely: No Surprises by Radiohead. Can't help but think of that song a lot when relating to Odd.
What kind of social media would your ocs use (and what for?) eg; posting pics of their pokemon on instagram or picking fights on tw*tter dot com in the qrts
I think Odd would predominantly use Insta, mainly to post images/promotions regarding his shop, and to document whatever misadventures his Pokemon or himself got into that day.
He used to go on Twitter more often (and occasionally will sneak on to check out what his friends post), but with the discourse rabbit holes he had a tendency fall in when he was feeling down, Mauve tries to keep him away from the bird app
And occasionally he'll boot up Tumblr; when asked why he uses it, he'll respond "A walk through a wasteland can be refreshing, sometimes."
Which of these describes your oc if they were on a road trip with friends:
1) Designated driver (driver seat)
2) Navigator (front passenger seat)
3) Spotify DJ (Backseat)
4) Snack Distributor (Backseat)
5) Other (elaborate?)
Odd would more than likely take position as navigator in the front; while he can technically drive, his skills still leave him a little antsy behind the wheel, so he'd feel more comfortable playing course setter/corrector
He'd also be something of a mother hen for the other passengers, checking in to see if they're comfortable/tended to, as well as a fun fact giver whenever they drove past a point of interest
Hold it down. Odd has a good poker face, would hate to disappoint who he's eating it for, and he's seen some fucked up, stomach turning shit in his past, so he can keep most tastes down
would your oc survive if they were stranded on a deserted island for 100 days?
If this is in a situation where, either out of sportsmanship or disability, Odd can't tap into his powers, Odd would manage decently, having picked up a fair bit of camping/survival skills from his dad and friends.
Otherwise, he'd either just warp back home or stop by civilization every now and then to pick up groceries before going back to the island for an extended vacation.
Person Odd Dislikes: (gets on elevator)
Odd: Mmm, no. (Warps Out)
And if Odd REALLY doesn't like them and is feeling spiteful, he'll warp the other person away instead-//
what are video games or phone games your oc would play?
Odd's big into RPGs, Metroidvanias, and psychological horror games
For his phone, he's more into puzzle games, something to keep his brain stimulated with.
