I write about Korean pop, and I'm basically an asshole. You probably shouldn't support what I do, but you could go to my website if you really wanted.

Did you consider Sunmi's new comeback as a possible honourable mentions song/top 30 song, or not really?

How much should a concert ticket cost in your opinion? I would like to see Sunmi in Paris but the minimum price is 44 euros (67,24 Australian dollars), whereas the average ticket price is considered 34 (51,96).

Holy shit that's dirt cheap by Australian standards, we pay outrageously for concerts here!

Do demos usually feature skilled singers because they can sing the melody meant for the song more accurately (so the producer knows how to tweak the idols voices just well enough)? Or does it not matter if demos have good vocalists or not?

It doesn't really matter much as long as you can hit the notes. Hell, you can submit a demo with a vocaloid if you wanted, nothing wrong with that.

GOD stellars sting's message wouldve been so much better if they consented to do the concept. while the idea still stands, it now feels more like an attempt of the company to defend itself instead of an actually rlly good point abt dumb netizens

I know there were consent issues with "Marionette" as well as some of the promo photos - but I'm not so sure about "Sting".

Anonymous caonima · 2y

do you think stellar's treatment by the company makes their music videos uncomfortable to watch and the trolly message in videos like Sting not hit as hard now?

Yes, it makes them more uncomfortable to watch. No it doesn't dilute the message, it actually adds another layer to it.

I have no idea about what Bhangra may be, but here's some bhangra cover of some random kpop song, don't rlly know who BTS is but you'll figure out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXagglGkHfw

I'm not sure if I understand either because this doesn't sound like bhangra to me at all - maybe they're referring to the dance itself. Maybe this Ipopalypse thing is too hard and I should leave it to the experts.

Also modern social media culture demands that you are ideologically pure and that you repent and self-flagellate forever if you fuck up (whether you actually fucked up or not), which is bullshit. You're not a rapist for saving a nude, and even if it was inappropriate you would apologize and move on. If someone comes to you about something you did in the past just explain "I used to think this way but now I don't because x", that's all the satisfaction you have to give

Not much ideological purity happening around here. I just try to be "true to myself". Sometimes that means changing positions and changing how I feel about things. Having inconsistent actions now compared the past doesn't mean you're a hypocrite, it realised you fucked up before and learned something and changed what you do to be better.

For the sexting person on QRIMOLE, I also stress out a lot about making others like me, and it isn't worth it because 1) not everyone will like you, no matter how hard you try and 2) often people do not feel about things the way you think they do. You'd be surprised how much of an overreaction some of your thoughts are

Yeah it's true. I sure know that not everyone likes my problematic ass but I don't worry about it.

You said you liked to read guitar magazines back in high school, right? You think it's a good idea for me to read stuff about art and go to museums instead of training all the time? Seems like a cool thing to do if you're tired of trying to improve

It can't hurt to go and experience more art and culture if you're someone who wants to do art.
