A big question mark would appear right on top of my head. If they're someone dear to me, I'd ask why and apologize if it needed to. I'd be more apathetic if it's just some random guy saying that.

if i'm really that annoying, why do you still keep me around? it'd hurt me a lot knowing that person would rather hurt me first through words instead of immediately cutting me off (let's assume this isn't a close friend)

ah.. im really sorry if that happened to you, ive been there as well. it was something that really hurt me. but not so great advice, all you can do is ask them what is wrong, what things that make them think like that.

sometimes the answer helps us to realize our doings, which parts that doesn't sit right with some people. and it kinda helps us not to mentally bad mouthing ourselves.
