When the queen's death was announced on the BBC the reporters had to change to dark colored clothes before announcing it. (People on the UK tell me if that's true) nothing communistic about that😆
It's protocol. 20 years ago there was an unholy shitstorm in the right wing press, when the late Peter Sisssons announced the death of the Queen Mother wearing a grey suit and a burgundy tie. It wasn't just the BBC, ITV/ITN, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky News all broke out the black mourning dress.
