Saw someone earlier askinf bout cakes & got curious: What cakes do u think each splatoon idol would be?
Mmmh that's a great question !
Callie would be a birthday cake, the kind that's filled with sprinkles and taste super nostalgic. You know it's gonna be good but it's always a nice surprise.
Marie is a Forêt noire. A very heavy cake that's super chocolatey and extremely sweet. It can be overwhelming to some. But the ones that enjoy this cake REALLY enjoy it.
Marina would be an ice cream cake, as a reference to cake vs ice cream. I think she'd enjoy the flavor and texture a lot more than any other cake.
Pearl would be a fraisier. Very elegant and delicate, a little bit complex to make but a delight to have.
Shiver would be a carrot cake. When you overlook it without tasting it, you immediately judge it and think it must suck. But people that took the time to taste it know it's a genuinely great cake.
Frye would be a little bit too out of the box for a cake, so I'd imagine her as a crookie (croissant-cookie mix). She likes wild mixes in food and I think there's a beauty in that sort of thing.
Big Man would be a chocolate mug cake. The kind of thing you do at 2 AM because you're barely awake but need the comfort of a warm cake. Some call it simplistic but to say the truth, it's one of the most comforting things ever.

What’s your favourite type of cheese?
Tough question ... I love all cheeses ! But I'd say I have a very soft spot for Saint Nectaire. I visited the city where this cheese is made as a kid and got to talk with the local farmers that make it. So on top of tasting great, it has a soft spot in my heart.

Overall, I'd say start off by this video if you want the basics. It's not absolutely complete but it will give you a rough understand of who the characters are and what the story's about !

Curious student who took French here; is it awkward or really obvious when someone’s speaking either through a translator or is just inexperienced? Not in a mean way, just a “yeah it’s obvious this is off lol”
Sadly, yeah, you can very easily tell for one reason, french sentences usually have a lot more details than English. But it's okay, usually we can understand you and we don't take it as a negative thing.
The best exemple I can find is in English, you'd say "What's this ?"
In french you'd say "Qu'est-ce que c'est que ça ?"
Which roughly translates to "What's this that this that this thing ?" Lmao

do you have a favourite candle/perfume scent? if so, what is it!
Sadly, I'm not a very big fan of perfumes or candles. They really hurt my nose since I'm hypersensitive to smell, and for some reason I never enjoyed flower smells ? BUT. I really enjoy perfumes that mimick sugary smells. Fruit-scented perfumes make me feel incredibly happy.

Who's gor favourite Agent?
Agent 8 ! Sadly I'm not really attached to Neo 3, 3 is cool but I don't feel very attached to them, and Four ... Well sadly every time I tried to read a story about them it ended up being genuinely a horrible experience so I associate them with negative stuff. But Right ? Oh she's my baby. Her having a found family trope with Pearl and Marina made me super attached.

My favorite Splatband is Yoko and the gold bazookas !! Not only do I ADORE their music, but I'm very attached to Yoko and Tao. I see Yoko as disabled (which is technically canon but I like to imagine her with an even bigger illness than described) so she's very important to me.

What was the first video game you've ever played?
Pokemon diamond ! I remember struggling to understand the game and getting stuck in the tutorial town for hours ... I somehow managed to get my turtwig to evolve before getting my first set of PokeBalls lol

Do you had any particular tricks or advice on how to draw well?
Okay the trick I use to draw hands but that can also work for other things : try to convince yourself that you know what the hell you're doing. It may sound stupid but the confidence it gives you often gives better results. I have NO CLUE of how to draw hands but sometimes a little "Don't overthink it, just do it" really helps

Why would you ship something so delicate like a baby mantis? That just seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
First of all, I asked for ONE thing. No questions about my mantis. That is extremely disrespectful of you.
Second. I owned about 30 mantises in my life. All were shipped by mail and I never had a single problem with it because it's done professionally. People ship animals all the time. Like how the hell do you think pets arrive in pet stores ? Do you think they just magically pop in ?
