Odd and Mauve have quite a bit of history between them.

Having known each other since Odd was a child, they've both seen and been through a lot together, both good and bad. They fight and snark with one another at times (Mauve is determined to get Odd to address some of his lingering trauma and stop ignoring it), but they're still each other's best friends and couldn't imagine their current lives without each other.
