It's s thing that has to do with his ancestor, since he was cursed the cursed kinda transferred to Grim from his mom. He just feels naturally drawn to Dark-types and vice versa (also cuz it's my favorite type and Grim is my baby lol)

Good question! Grim doesn't really last long as Champion, only like a year or two, he ends up reforming the whole corrupt Orelian League system. Anyways after he steps down he moves fully moves to Czeraja to be the malewife to his girl boss wife, Kazi. He helps as an international advisor for the Orelian League but mostly he dedicates all his time after stepping down to his family and Pokémon!
