Hell, it wouldn't be surprising if he's called the "Tatsuya Shiba of Pokemon". If Journeys is anything to go by, he would definitely get the M8!Leon's treatment - specifically with the Eastern fanbase; have an entire hashtag dedicated to slandering him at every opportunity, lightly sprinkled with some racism and anti-blackness.

Bonus points for being labeled both a pedophile and an unfaithful misogynist. The former is because he formerly dated his best friend, who's shorter than he is - thus height difference is "counted" as pedophilia I guess... 🙄; the latter is due to his aromantic bisexuality - being more friendly and sexually active towards guys (biphobia is extremely rampant in all aspects of the fandom, and male characters get it worse than female ones).
