The Greek seafarers knew the sea, ships, courses, stars. They describe many things, but never say something like the blue skies or the blue sea. Actually in Homers poem about Troy there isn't once the term blue. Were Greek blind for blue?

There's a reason for that. People used to conflate the color blue with black so they were indistinguishable to them.
