How big a deal is a language barrier for you in a relationship? Like if you were very physically attracted but they barely spoke a word you could understand? Would you make the effort to learn their language? Want them to learn yours?

It would be difficult for me to establish any kind of real relationship w/o being able to communicate effectively. It would likely take years to learn another language to fluent proficiency. Physical attraction will only get you so far. Wouldn’t work for me, I don’t feel.
