I swear bats are one of the purest creature on earth. Every time I learn about a new species its always equally adorable and interesting things like this.

I bet there's an incredible amount of tension on the ligaments of Meta Knight's claws. He can probably hold up his own bodyweight with those two claws alone! He tends to keep his wings to himself in battle because it helps them avoid injury, but those claws are meant for battle where an enemy is grappling or pinning him. Very sharp and very strong! They're a very "fuck around and find out" part of his body lol. Most people don't even consider that until they see them in action.

Animal claws, beaks, and even teeth in certain species will overgrow if they are not being used. Like in the wild, a dog's claws would wear down naturally during travel and hunting, but in captivity this doesn't happen so they need to be trimmed. That said, if MK's wing claws get long sometimes so he trims them with little clippers :p Otherwise he might poke himself in his sleep!
