It does strike me as lazy/cowardly in that studio executive sense where they don't believe minorities can lead big budget original movies on their own, so instead of making an good original spy movie with a black woman leading it, they just make 007 a black woman - there's actually a sorta racism to this thought process IMO ... anyway representation means zero to me and I never looked up to people as a kid (especially not actors) but I understand that it does to some people and I'm not here to shit on their parade so whatevs, have your black lady 007
