bravery, to my mind, involves a choice to take on personal risk that could have been averted - like you could stand in front of the burning building and hope for the best, or you can run in and try to save someone... hey one time I got yelled at because I said some pilot who crash-landed his plane in the river and kept eveybody alive wasn't brave - he didn't have a choice! He was saving himself! Not that he did a bad thing, it just didn't require bravery that's all
