Putin is an authoritarian with his own interests who will gleefully crush dissent and 'annex' his neighbors in pursuit of them, if that's what you mean. But all the Russia red-baiting by certain people and the media here in the US is disgraceful and counterproductive, I guess it beats admitting how bad you suck for losing to Trump
