OC havers! What's an idea you considered really hard for your OC but ultimately decided against?

So Nia Schattenworth isn't originally a Vulpo during the planning phase of mine characters. Which made to the conclusion of should I just make her a smug ass bastard human, or a actual Vulpo that hides her actual identity so that she does not get discriminated for being her own race. But ultimately I got to the latter, as smug little bastards, its not like Nia's title of being the most dangerous woman if provoken when her followers are hurt. It simply does not match as the ideal prototype for the concept. So I just decided this.

I wanted Tau, given how he'll be a Tanuki, to be able to mimic the voice and looks of another person perfectly but I decided against giving him full control because even the best disguise has it's flaws I think.

i was gonna make silverash as dr moby's ex but yknow what making him have a one sided crush is even funnier

I was gonna include Oda's siblings but in the end I made her an only child with like lots of relatives, close and distant x3

As for Dr. Llewellyn, no ideas that I scrapped just yet- Like sure, I planned her to be with Saga but then I met my sweetheart and then I shipped Llewellyn with their OC Alice owo

I originally was gonna give dr linni very poggers top surgery scars, but ended up deciding that this is my house and im the one holding the pen so he's gonna be my emotional support no top-op trans men rep

Angelica was going to be a family lawyer, but I decided against it since the common theme between Lin and her sibs are rebelling against what's expected of them in their own ways. With what I wanted to do with her personality, I felt like a fashionista would work better

iserlohn was originally supposed to possess the corpse of the previous doctor (which makes them two separate people) but the writer whom i commissioned his first fic from suggested that he should be the doctor from the beginning (so he didn't bodyjack a stranger), and i've rolled with it since then. originally the memory loss was because he doesn't inherit the memories of the corpses he used as a host but now it's because the original doctor was an autonomous clone that he sent to Terra to scout it out and lost some of the data recorded inside

Sanguine was supposed to be a bartender instead of a traveling doctor, but other than that being a cool profession I could not manage to have it work well in the story I wanted to tell with him. Or have a plausible way for him to become a RI employee in general LOL

Honestly, I don't really think I had anything that I didn't add to any of my ocs. Well maybe giving one of my ocs memory loss but that's minor at least to me

lazuli was almost a seaborne but like, i thought making my own subset of sarkaz was more fun

anything revolving aita really, she’s still going under a lot of reworks at the moment

Blue was ALMOST a cowboy dogboy who roamed terra just trying to help whoever he could. he would have been like hank the cowdog cause I LOVED listening to his stories on cassette as a kid. so he would have been an Australian Shepherd with one hell of a superiority complex. However, i couldn't see enough of myself in the character and it didn't fit the vibe of dogs being all very good boys cause he would have been an ass LMAO.

I was planning to make iru hot headed and only kind to Yan, I've taken that back because it was unrealistic and just extremely mean. Is very happy with the current Iru whose just a bubble gum sweetheart.
