So now that I'm back at work I am not allowed to be sick for 2 years 🙃 what should I do about the surgery I need to have next year?

What specifically did they tell you in writing? They are breaking many laws if that is the formal instruction they have given you.

A good lawyer might see some good chances of winning a big lawsuit against your workplace if you do get fired for your surgery. You might earn some good money.
