I saw a TV show about him called "Genius". He didn't seem to be very nice to her first wife and his children. But scientifically speaking he's one of the smartest people I know of.

My feeling is that he was nice, and going by a video of him I saw once I think he was humble too.

I really know nothing of his personal life. The pic with his tongue out is the most memorable for me. Which has become a validation of the genius/madness link.
