sorry if im late but you asked abt aus so. i have this verse where somewhere in the near future arthur loses his arm in one of those bigger fights that usually happen around anni stories? specifically while trying to protect oz (its night, abt to be morning) and it enriches me tbh. the political fallout from central, dragging in east and west, oz's thoughts on this, cain's reaction, faust getting flashbacks, the alecetc. parallel. i love thinking abt it and how things would unfold from this point :)

God Oz would and Cain would feel like shit. Everyone would feel like shit. Becoming liability to ARTHUR whom he wanna protect is gonna kick Oz's pride straight into the gutter that's brutal.

Anyhow I am pretty sure I talked about this with Steph on twitter before and I love the idea, honestly. I think Oz would know about Mitile's prophecy and still just... Still raise him to be strong. But I do wonder how this situation happened cause that would really change everything. Like... Did Tiletta go back to the north to give birth to Mitile? Did Maurice die? Or is Oz a southern wizard? It's hard to envision her entrusting her kids to the world's least qualified Guardian so the details would matter a lot in this case.
But I can very specifically see Figaro raising Arthur being very intentional about "you have to make the world better for wizards when you inherit the throne one day". I love them so much

I wanted to let you know that receiving your comments for my mhyk fic (the one w Akira and Nova) made me really happy, esp when I found out you wrote the Figatwins fic I like! Fic idea where tiletta's soul gets revived in the body of rutile for a day (somehow) and she gets to spend time with the sages wizards (and meet Mitile for the first time)

Ok so Arthur death au!
I didn't actually think of a lot emotionally it was more political, so basically with the whole mess this year and distrust in wizards everybody worked hard to help with their reputation BUT! The next year Arthur whose very much beloved by all of Central dies and the Calamity is worse than last year, so that turns the goodwell people have to hate. And with Arthur's death Oz is grieving which makes the weather TERRIBLE, so all these disasters and then we summon a new Sage.

Oh no. MAN TO LOSE AKIRA TOO IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THAT. New sage going in the middle of that would be brutal...

OH I just made a post on this.
I feel like the fundamental misalignment on figaro and faust's value here is like... Faust was saying "I'm disappointed that my goals actually still means nothing to you and that I was just being humoured" but all Figaro hear is "Faust want me to witness his accomplishment? Faust wants my acknowledgement? I matter? Yay!"
Cause Figaro felt like Faust would prioritize everything else before him, so it doesn't make a difference if he leaves, right? They'll succeed in the revolution so it's fine. He's not needed anymore. So to hear that "I wanted you to be here to witness my growth" is like, enough affirmation to get him to stay in this AU. Cause Faust isn't just using him as convenient god/mentor. Faust definitely wants him here.

Rustica. Tho to be honest, Murr is also a great option.
The twins were also pretty dependable with Akira but it probably would be a bit awkward to discuss that kind of thing with them. They might just turn her into a child like them lol...

Do you have any wishes for upcoming mhyk events?
I want a follow-up to anni4 wrt the twins and sanbaka. Particularly I kinda hope Snow can get a one-on-one convo with Brad and White might have one with Owen... I know White's the one who actually had more individual bonding moments with their current students but Snow was the one who rejected their help in no uncertain terms.
Just. What's with that, huh??? Where is this northern "teachers & students" relationship going? Esp considering they do get referred to as "teachers" in so many events. I'm feeling insane about this actually.

Ummm... I think he's doing a good job on fixing himself so... Support and encouragement? I'm joking he gets plenty of that already down south. I mean it's clear that the key thing he needs to do is to open up about his Northern origins to his kids, right? I think it's kind of interesting that Mitile is growing closer with the other Northern wizards... Maybe that's prepping him for acceptance. (A problem which Figaro created entirely himself.)
Anyway... step 1 to fixing figaro is to get him to open up about his northern origins to the kids, and step 2 is to get him to open up about his numbered days to Leno and Akira... I think Oz and twins can know about it a bit later. And I think... the conditions are ready for him to do that. He's even considered talking to Mitile in MS2... He'll probably still need a push tho.
I REALLY hope he gets to reveal things on his own term and not like... Rutile is dying and figgy's magic fails again ): Or his secrets gets blown at the same time in a crucial moment by someone else. Considering all that's happened so far I don't think that's likely lol... Ganbatte, Figaro-sensei!

I don't think anything can top anni4, the whole scene in the ocean.
For individual moment... I really loved Snow when he was explaining to Arthur about the parallel between the twins with Oz and Arthur's mother with him... I also loved when Snow explained to Akira about their prophecy ability, and how he's like "some people get really happy when they hear good news, and that makes us happy". It's such a good spin on the helpless seer trope, you know.
For White... When he's like "back off, oz, our stupid northern kid can swallow a cursed bird if he wants to!" During candy house when he ask Akira to check on Owen cause he's worried for the baby... God I wish there's more White-Owen moments. Not to give the twins more kids to abuse but I think White should take custody of Owen. If he tries enough time he can get it right I believe in him.

Probably between Rutile and Riquet. I think Rike has been slowly learning and growing more and forming new world views, but we haven't seen it really um... Come to any big moment yet. So I am eager to get that.
I don't really know what more I wanna see from Rutile cause I actually like the way he's written and feel like it's appropriate, but he does just have less big moments than the rest and that's his character.
MHYK theme... Honestly pretty satisfied with the theme presented in story but I WANT MORE WORLDBUILDING DEETS particularly on the human cultures of North and South... Like. Do they have government? We still don't know. Most signs points to no yet they have representatives at the peace conference? What gives?
