Oh my god hi i never got a notification for this im so sorry for the late reply 😭 i like specrene a lot!!!! I definitely think hanging out with the abyssal hunters made Irene reconsider certain beliefs she held, it's been a while since i read SN so i dont remember the details very well but going by what i remember and specter alter's oprec their relationship is something that started of fairly abruptly with laurentina deciding she had fun teasing irene and then later on the both of them realizing there was much more to the other than they thought! I really enjoy the part were they properly introduce themselves to the other in laurentina's oprec, it feels like in that scene certain distances were being bridged and they understood each other just a bit better! Irene who previously held prejudiced views towards them and laurentina who was raised to believe those on land were far behind aegir in terms of. Everything (though laurentina due to her love for the arts is far more accepting than gladiia), extended a hand to each other, this is especially seen when laurentina begins to sing while irene listens (it's mentioned in her lines that singing is special to the aegir and it's not something they show to just anyone), in this way laurentina had shared a piece of herself with irene and the latter had accepted it with an open heart (she also says laurentina's name is beautiful) I also enjoy the part in sn when laurentina is tasked with bringing irene back on shore but for a single moment she hesitates, feeling the desire to head back home to aegir instead thus endangering irene, but in the end abandoning that chance and choosing to save the immediate person in her arms rather than go home! In others words i think they've both affected each other and helped in the other's development!
