Ohh like that anon who talked about the star seekers lore, I remember viken gets his power while trying to protect soule I guess. Viken in there reflects early bg who was more open in showing how much he likes sb. I hope bighit had taken the star seekers lore more seriously and made it into a cool series, such a missed opportunity...
If we had SS, I know someone could've provided input on how close the danjjakz are and they could've added Soule and viken moments like Soogyu too 😔
I think I’ve seen that scene lol where Viken uses his healing powers on Soule? I honestly really like xtx’s lore and the overarching message they convey. There’s something very artistic about how the version they portray in the nap of a star mv for example, that feels fable-like and sentimental. but I feel like the webtoon doesn’t quite live up to that in its execution. It felt a bit too childish—not in a charming way, but in a cringey way, so I never got past the beginning chapters lol..

It's like even since pre-debut, anyone could tell that these two would be good friends. There were other Soogyu moments in this pre-debut content too. Sb really had a good chemistry with Beomgyu since that time I guess. Soogyu are one of the most obvious pair of people I saw growing closer very naturally over the years. I also love how we don't need a tag to describe their bond. It's just pure little love. Romance isn't the ultimate form
I agree! I find it hard to accept the perspective that sgyv used to be not close. While it’s true they were less close in the past and didn’t have the same tension they share now, calling their relationship merely a “business relationship” feels like a significant understatement. When they were roommates, they talked about their concerns late into the night, and bg even cried while consulting with sb. Whenever sb was struggling, bg consistently encouraged him to share his burdens, assuring him that he understood how he felt without needing to be told.
Similarly, when bg faced challenges while writing the lyrics for maze in the mirror, sb was the first to approach him, easing him into opening up about what was on his mind. This kind of genuine care for one another has always been present. I also agree that the growth and development of their relationship have been organic and gradual.
What fascinates me is that their relationship doesn’t seem to experience the usual ups and downs typical of idol group dynamics. In many groups, there are ebbs and flows; some seasons members appear very close, while in others, they become more independent. However, sgyv's relationship has consistently deepened year after year. This speaks volumes about their compatibility and the strength of their bond. Whether what they have is romantic or not, one thing is certain: plenty of couples, even family members, wouldn't do half the things sgyv do for each other. The depth of love is not defined by labels but is measurable by actions.

Ah, I think this is hard. I could honestly see it going both ways. In their 2020 Weekly Idol guest appearance, sgyv mentioned that they usually don’t let fights escalate and resolve issues on the spot. sb noted that bg is very receptive to feedback, and if someone tells him he was in the wrong, he’ll immediately concede, saying something like, “Ah, I can see how I might have come across. I’ll be more careful next time” I’ve also noticed that whenever bg jokingly “scolds” sb or sulks around him, sb apologizes or gives in right away. This suggests to me that, for minor quarrels, whoever is at fault would likely apologize first instead of letting their ego get in the way.
However, during a fansign in 2023, when asked if they were the type to 1) need time to themselves or 2) talk it out immediately when they are mad, bg chose option 1 while sb chose option 2. Based on this, I think if they were to have a significant argument or if emotions escalated, sb would be unable to go to bed angry, while bg might be more inclined to give the silent treatment and need to sleep on it before continuing the conversation.
In general, in long-term relationships I’ve observed, there’s usually one person who gives in. If both people refuse to back down and assert themselves, it’s difficult for the relationship to remain stable. I feel like sb would be the first to initiate a conversation, apologize, and try to make bg feel better. But at the same time, I also see bg as emotionally mature, so if he were in the wrong, I believe he’d also apologize easily, and sb wouldn’t hold grudges.

I know we don't know everything that happens in sgyv's life, but what we see seems so passionate and genuine that it feels like a fairy tale, you know? I've never had a friendship that was so close, and that fit together so well, one takes care of the other, and they're always happy to spend time with each other. I can't help but think: if these two aren't dating, they should try, cause they would probably find eternal happiness with each other.
They talk about wanting to open a cafe and raising dogs together in the countryside, and there’s no mention of a third party in the future they’ve envisioned for themselves. I don't think they can even imagine living a life without each other as a central component in their everyday. Calling them "just friends" or even "dating" would be an understatement for the kind of connection and commitment they share; they are life partners..

If he had labeled his outings with bg as a "date," I would actually think they weren't real. However, the fact that sb avoids calling them that, and the way he gets startled every time he inadvertently uses language with romantic undertones when talking about topics that regard bg, is what makes sgyv more convincing.. You can see the panic in his face as he tries to correct himself, which only makes it more suspicious. sb can't joke around and use the same language with bg, because he's more conscious about fans picking at it

Probably sb lmao. It doesn’t seem like he has much interest in driving, while bg is really into cars, especially since his father used to be a racecar driver. He once mentioned that it's his dream to race his dad one day. At the very least, I think bg would probably get his license first.

I think that’s pretty unlikely. Relationships of any kind can be severely detrimental to an idol’s career and popularity, especially in an industry with quick turnover where favorites can easily be replaced. In Korea, there are also certain preconceptions that shield idols from deeper scrutiny when it comes to same-sex relationships, which are even harder to prove. This means fans and the public are less likely to dig into rumors without solid evidence. Given that, I don’t think there's much benefit in having a "beard," and personally, I’ve never heard of it happening.

Funny thing is that it might be them for the MVs and such but for the official lore novel it's somewhat sb and bg characters - it might not be written that great but there's a lot of instances when they are put together in a way not other "ship" is - to the point sb's character promises to never leave bg's character alone/to stay with him forever.
