as for my holy grails, i looked back at that cc post in my archive spreadsheet and the only ones i still use daily are the heroine make long and curl mascara and shiseido eyelash curler. i still do like the msh loveliner but i’m afraid the cost-performance value of my <$5 flortte liquid liner cannot be beat, i have this product in three shades. for cleansers the kose softymo speedy is The oil cleanser like literally the only one i’ve consistently repurchased so i think it belongs here as well. my skin barrier saviors include the numbuzin no.2 protein serum and the aestura atobarrier 365 cream. i think vt reedle shot and pdrn serum are too recent of additions in my routine to be eligible for holy grail status so i’ll give them a year or so…but i will say that i do like them a lot as of right now.

re: other miscellaneous products — i’ve been in a bit of a skin scent era this past year or so (juliette has a gun - pear inc / le labo - another 13 / glossier - you / etc) but my fragrance ride or dies are still byredo’s mojave ghost and nette’s thé vanille… possibly the scents of all time To Me i would repurchase them 100x over.

hi i use the reedle shot 100! i don’t have super sensitive skin so i personally didn’t find the 100 to hurt at all, it felt kind of tingly but that was it. i started off by using it every two days, but now i use it every other day / am considering using it daily bc i think my skin can handle it… and at some point i’ll probably upgrade to the 300/700/etc. but if you’re just starting out and afraid of how your skin might react you can start with the 50 + space out the days you use it and work your way up from there! the pdrn essence is something i bought along with the reedle shot during black friday; it’s kind of marketed together bc the reedle shot is supposed to mimic micro-needling treatment that allegedly helps your skin absorb skincare better after and pdrn is the active ingredient in rejuran healer skin booster, a type of injection treatment in korea that most notably stimulates collagen production and has other touted benefits as well. i don’t really know if vt’s pdrn is doing allll of that but i can tell that my skin is better because of it + the reedle shot :) it has quite a milky, slightly sticky consistency so i actually layer the pdrn on after a few toners and serums bc the reedle shot is usually the first step of my skincare routine after cleanser and a watery toner, and then i go in order from thinnest to thickest products before finishing with moisturizer. i hope this helps anon!

hi!! honestly not too much has changed since my last skincare and makeup update but i’m in the midst of making a new post regardless… but here’s a small preview for you <3

notable skincare products i’ve acquired in 2024 include the vt reedle shot + pdrn serum which i found soo effective for improving my skin texture.. as for makeup i’ve been trying a lot of random items (gel pencil liner, loose setting powder, foundation brushes, etc) from small chinese brands; they work pretty well but i don’t know how accessible they are outside of asia tbh. and last but not least, investing in primer again has done wonders for my makeup retention genuinely idk why i suddenly dropped it a couple of years ago (probably laziness)…but at the same time everything still does hinge upon proper skincare beforehand :’)

in cfandom jaemjen (or minnuo as they call it) is still the minority and nowhere near as pervasive as in kfandom, although i have seen a slight emergence of mn fans in the corners of chinese internet that i frequent! if we’re going by supertopic stats on weibo, nomin outnumbers minno 70k to 23k lol..so nomin hegemony is still quite dominant amongst cfans no matter what. but perhaps because i curate my spaces so rigorously and surround myself with likeminded fujos (alljen / jaemall / ppl who like 娜哥狗妹 etc) i rarely see reverse order cfan content anymore unless i stray into like generalized c-dreamzen spaces…which reminds me that i can never watch dream videos on bilibili bc all the people there are nominist and constantly remind me in the floating bullet comments 😭 so yes there could similarly embittered discourse about top and bottom dynamics on occasion but i find that cfandom and east asian fandoms in general have less of that because they’ll tag for ship order and only frequent spaces that show their preferred dynamics and have all that info in bio/pinned so others can do the same.
