what was your first impression of arknights?

honse.

I thought of it as a cute game, just something to try, based on a friend talking about it. I got into the... CBT, I think? Maybe it was open beta. Anyways, I got Nearl, and now I am a honse appreciator.

It was at the time when arknights was advertising for beta testers, and I was just like: A D V E R T I S E M E N T GRRRRRR

"I dunno man I don't wanna get into another gacha" well well well if it isn't the consequences of my actions.

"Gosh, an easy tower defense/idle game with visual novel elements that surprisingly runs at 60fps? Hella good."

My current impression is the same, except it's not easy.

Tbh I got into it with a friend wanting some friends to pre-reg with them. I didn’t have a strong sense of feeling towards it because it was like “oh they invited me for this then I’ll play.” Tbh I considered giving up on the game until a friend was like: “Aca this guy is out on CN, think you like him” and everything went downward here. So tbh my first impression would probably be: looks like an average game that you would invite your friends to play

I can’t really remember if i’m honest. I was a day one player who only was a day one player because I heard about it via a gacha streamer. I remember it was fun and I enjoyed it, and to this day I still enjoy it

amazing art style, but back then i thought i have grown out of fancy anime styles so it has awakened something in me again

i liked the funny animal people but it was so exciting for me when i started learning that for the first time in my life there was actually a really large amount of rep for different disabilities. its what really made me excited for the game

my opinion on mobile games is so low i genuinely thought it would be some kind of visual novel/idle game bullshit where you gambled for literally pointless png's that do nothing, so i was stunned that it had actual GAMEPLAY to go along with the png gambling LMAO

honestly bad lol, first impression was from the cringe youtube ads and i really thought this was just gonna be another meet date marry simulator with a TD as the game. thankfully i saw some actual gameplay from people in a discord server and decided to give it a try and to this day i'm really glad i looked past all of that to see what the game was really about

I was floored with how generous they were with orus, mats, etc (and not all operators are limited!! Holy shit!!). The previous gacha game I played was stupidly grindy and I have to keep checking leaks if there's a new meta unit if I wanna keep up with ranking :') I could go on about this for hours but this answer is getting long LMAO

Catgirls done right, although I did think the playstyle reminded me a bit of P VS Z which is why I play it
