When filling in the form, just put what you hope your username will be, and you can always get in touch with us to update it once your account is finalised. how will claiming go? (first time participating in one) will a prompt that's claimed only be allowed by one person or multiple people can claim one prompt?
Hello, welcome to your first claim fest! We're happy to help you through every step if you're confused about anything. Regarding multiple claims for the same prompt, we will be allowing it for the open-ended prompts, aka, where a prompt is formatted as 'Person A and Person B', as long as the two claimaints are using significantly different characters/pairings. Thus, we will be monitoring these claims on a case by case basis - so if you have any concerns about this, we welcome you to contact us privately. Our priority is to make sure everyone is comfortable, and has as much opportunity as possible to join the fest. I hope that makes sense!

can you claim more than one prompt?
You can only claim one archive prompt at a time, but if you finish one and submit it to the collection, we're happy for you to pick up another! You can also claim an archive prompt and submit a self-prompt at the same time if you so wish. I've now added this to our carrd for clarity, thanks for reaching out!

Hi, you don’t have to answer this ask or anything, but I just wanted to say that if you’re publicly gonna act unhappy with the amount of dream prompts that were submitted, maybe you just shouldn’t have made it an option to choose between the subunits. I know you ran a poll on it and dream won, so I’m sure you could’ve predicted that most people would submit dream prompts, but the way you said it made it sound like you were trying to blame it on the people who’ve submitted prompts instead of the way you chose to make the prompting form. Again, you don’t have to answer this, and I hope you don’t take it the wrong way
Hi there, I think our tweet was taken the wrong way! We're far from unhappy with the Dream prompts so far - we're so excited to see so many people turn up for dream, as we expected with the response to the polls as you mentioned. Mod Algea's tweet was more addressing the slow increase of other unit prompts after around half of people voted for an all NCT units fest. Of course it's nothing serious and we'll be more than happy to accept whoever wants to participate in the fest at the end of the day, and we don't want you to feel the prompts we have aren't appreciated - they very much are. But we want to keep flagging to people while prompting is still open that our WayV tab has 8 prompts, compared to the 48 in the Dream tab, for example, to give the most opportunity possible for h/c enthusiasts to show up across the board. We appreciate you reaching out about your concern, and we'll keep an eye on how we express these sentiments going forward.

hi… 😭 i just submitted my prompt (the hanahaki one) and i just realized i was too brutal with the hurt part and realized it should be hurt/comfort NOT no comfort for i tagged it as mcd omg… is it possible to change the mcd and remove the no surgery part and instead make it like this:
if they proceed to take surgery their memories with person is gonna be reset? like they’d still remember the person but there will be completely no feelings anymore & the person they’re in love with (that can’t reciprocate their love) is gonna be the one who will accompany them for the surgery which is for the better good! :) but the writer can do/write whatever and tweak it as much as they like !! <3

hi! i was checking out mod hestia's prompt lists and saw time loop there, how does that qualify as hurt/comfort? thanks in advance!
Hello! Mod Hestia here, I'm so glad you asked.
Time loop is one of those tropes that isn't inherently hurt/comfort, it all depends on how you write it, so I can see where the question comes from. There are some more specific examples of how it applies in the source linked at the top of that prompts document, including:
1. Character A is in a time loop and character B tries to help
2. Time Loop - The part where the looper breaks and stops giving any fucks
3. Time Loop - A is trying to save the life of B; the one they're secretly in love with and pining for
4. Time Loop where A repeatedly dies makes B realize feelings for A
5. Time Loop - Characters who hurt each other stuck together in timeloop
6. Time Loop - Lingering Trauma from Things That No Longer Happened
These suggestions are heavier on the hurt side of things, but the time loop trope in general does often lead to the looping character feeling helpless, afraid, trapped and sometimes a little crazy. If they go to another character for comfort during or after these loops, that's it, you've achieved hurt/comfort!
Not all tropes on that list are automatically hurt/comfort (many can be written as hurt/no comfort, for example), they just lend well to the trope. It's down to the writer to decide how their protagonist will be hurt and comforted for some of them, including this one. I hope the examples above help make that clearer!

Even though I'm not sure I'll get to participate in your fest, I'm reeeaally really really looking forward to the prompts submitted! They make me itch with curiosity!
Are you going to do prompt previews prior to archive opening? 👀 Or are you allowing prompt adoptions even when the fest is over? And if so, in case you ask socials during prompt submissions, can one then gift the fics to prompters?

We're definitely up for doing prompt previews while the form is open, so you can look forward to those :)
Prompt adoptions isn't something we've considered until now, but if people are interested in it after the fest is over, we'll be more than happy to open the archive up. To make your request a possibility, we'll include an optional box in the prompting form for socials. Thank you for your question!
