Are you proud of your name?

No. My paternal grandfather was born out of wedlock and his mother was forced to give him up for adoption. The surname I've inherited comes from his adoptive parents so I don't consider it to be my "real" surname. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any record of his birth father's name, only his mother, so the 1/8 of my family tree that my surname should come from is a mystery. Even if I knew my true surname, I still don't think I'd be proud of it, though; it's just a name.
