There aren't any Karen/Daren farms in my general vicinity, but there are quite a few in the city and the surrounding area. Actually, my old building was formerly gated. By the time I lived there the actual gate and fencing was gone and all that was left was the skeleton of the gate. It's social segregation, and putting the gate and fences up increases paranoia and police activity in the area. And that puts people in the area who don't live behind the gates, or who don't "seem" (LOOK) like they live behind the gate to paranoid residents, at risk of injury and murder.
