on a lighter note it’s been so nice to see that latest styling choice has been putting bottom mascara on flx!!! the hair & makeup noonas for him always make him even prettier. it makes me heart swell, especially because we’ve heard him talk about how interested he is in experimenting! our unisex icon indeed 🙂‍↕️🎀. i’m really excited to see what other fashion/editorial moments he’ll pull this year (fingers crossed we get flx in an actual dress NO pants underneath either)

but! if i may chime in my opinion on the whole dudes-crushing-on-flx thing going on right now, i’m ngl i really don’t care if there’s a long ass line of bachelors hitting on him or having a crush (bc honestly real af)
chn kinda wins no matter what…my guy gets to look at flx literally everyday & they’re mutually obsessed with each other…. i fear that no one really stands a chance atp because 🐺🐥 are locked in. us true chnlx historians/lore enthusiasts know that they’ve always been ~different~ with each other since the beginning! seriously i know this is all in good fun and it’ll probably appear in someone’s fic pretty soon lmfao—but all i know [delusional] is that chn is on the winning side. true love will always prevail!!!!!! Hey so i saw someone asking if anyone knew lip reading in regards to the chnlx new year's video. I do, and tbh they didn't say anything interesting, but their actions/body language is where it gets really weird.

You can't outright see it, but at the start of the vid I'm pretty sure that they were side hugging for a bit after the initial group hug (cuz of how they were swaying together),and when flx looks at chn you can see him smile a little mischievously(?) first, he then leans in a bit (at first i thought that was only because he wanted chn to hear him Better, but I'm not so sure anymore). I'm assuming that he then says hny (he was covered behind sngmn so I couldn't see his lips) but I'm pretty sure he said that because chn looks at him and then instantly says hny in response.

Strangely enough, it seems that wasn't the response flx was looking for, cuz he leans more into chn's space and says hny again, smile widening (perhaps hinting at a new year's tradition that they have or something) chn seems to have caught on what flx meant the moment after he responded with hny back the first time, and without even looking looking at flx this time he says no in English and then "aniya" a couple of times while shaking his head, with a twist of mouth closer to a grimace than it is to a smile. Flx actually gets close to him teasingly for a third time, I'm assuming still hinting at something. But chn literally wouldn't humor him after that, he just sighs with that same odd expression and looks straight ahead. Flx then gets the hint and stops.

the thing that flx was hinting at could be anything, it could be an inside joke that chn thought wasn't appropriate for the occasion, it could be a refrence to the mini speech that chn gave while they were having their group hug, or it could be something more. Idk man, chnlx have such an intriguing dynamic.

I'm sorry if this was too long, lip reading / body language stuff take ages to explain, cuz you gotta do a play by play.

ooooh how about NY3 chnlx angst where chn is still sick so he wants his space (to keep everyone safe) but flx being his sweet doting self doesn’t get that. chn doesn’t give him his annual NY3 kiss because of his cold and flx is really sad (even if he knows he’s being irrational/superstitious). basically they’re having a lovers’ quarrel. flx gets too tipsy with hyvnsvng, wallowing in his despair and has a full on doomsday meltdown that he and chn are going to have a doomed year because they didn’t follow tradition (plus flx loves his boyfriend’s kisses and being sick is NOT helping). anyway they kinda don’t talk much for a little over a week until chn fully heals. flx is happy chn is well again but is still a little distant sooooo chn decides to make it up to him by decorating flx’s bedroom with fairy lights and streamers. there’s some expensive ass champagne chilling in a bucket. he plays their special sexy time playlist. flx is totally surprised by this and they finally make up. flx cries a little because he’s a sensitive princess because he was worried that chn was mad at him but chn is adamant he never wanted to get anyone sick or worse hurt his feelings. but they never stay upset with each other for long because you can absolutely bet they fuck it out 🙂‍↕️.
those lovesick freaks probably get a good two and a half rounds in before flx is too exhausted, ultimately falling asleep.
but wait! there’s more!
bonus: chn wakes up before flx after an hour or so (damn his insomnia), watches his baby sleep for a moment and when he’s certain he won’t wake him, chn gets loosely dressed and walks to the company to finally make up that livestream he promised us. later flx wakes up to an unusually un-warm bed. but when he checks his phone to dial chn, he sees that he has several hours-old notifications and a few texts from the group chat (aka he finds out chn is on live along with everyone complaining playfully about them being so noisy in there). flx lies snuggled in the covers that faintly smell like chn now, contentedly watching his boyfriend talk to st4y until he falls back to sleep, with a smile on his face. the end :D 🍾🪩💫💕
