first of all, i'm sorry for wriring almost the same thing twice. i was too excited. i gathered some feelings and thoughts
so, something about loving losers, and everyone is at least a little bit unhappy. and soonyoung will never be able to know wonwoo in ways that his wife does. but he has him now. and, oh, he must know this book so well. can’t he say that he gets him too
also, reading dept of speculation after the last part of love in the big city must be an experience, if you read in this order.
i don’t think I can say anything meaningful about the content of the books, except for the constant beautiful doom of it all.
but stylistically (?) how the parts in libc (sorry) open up the character, and i had a moment in the middle when i was doubting that the character in all the parts was the same, and i had to remind myself all the names and connections. maybe it’s just because i’m stupid, but i loved it so much. also, the first time in a while when i cried because of the book (in public), very low key, but stil.
and in the dept of speculation, when she describes the meeting with the girl through the things she would say to her students. and then, there’s no “but actually…”. and it’s like it’s supposed to be the most detached part, but it seems the most vulnerable, because it stays unwritten, she just gave a lesson, nothing more.
i’m sorry, if i’m being silly i haven’t discussed a book with anyone in a while, but i would love to hear your thoughts too, if you want to share. i know, sonwoo is a statement on itself, and i enjoyed trying to find different pieces and fractions of both books there, and the vibes mashed together make me want to stare at a wall in silence and also tear my hair out
<3
(please don't judge me for my terrible reading comprehension)

you are SOOOOOOOOO smart like the bit in the middle of libc like the unnamedness of it all and that being the same in DoS i hadnt even made that connection like there is something so powerful about a character that remains kind of off screen through the reader/narrator not getting all the information about them (i feel like this is done most effectively through denying someone their name) but still like theyre a fleshed out and Real character !!!
i did in fact read them in that order then wrote the silly little fanfic and i hadnt even made that link i dont think it was on purpose at all lmao
also there is no such think as terrible reading comprehension like if youre comprehending then it is correct
