Can we fall out of love without pain, without being hurt?

Only If you intend to be a cold-hearted robot. But then again cold-hearted robots don't develop a feeling of love to fall out of.
I think Nihilism would also prevent you from building up love and extending it to others. The novel "The Stranger" by Albert Camus made me think so.

"A minute later she asked me if I loved her. I told her it didn't mean anything but that I didn't think so. She looked sad. But as we were fixing lunch, and for no apparent reason, she laughed in such a way that I kissed her."

I've been told I'm emotionally cold when it comes to heartbreak. But I can assure you it can hurt even me.

If they piss me off enough to stay angry at them then yes. Problem is the anger can't be sustained and the grief kicks in.
