Are cooking shows decadent in your opinion?

I never saw them as decadent myself (well, maybe--depending on what they're cooking), but I don't strongly disagree if someone thinks they're decadent.

The Barefoot Contessa (Ina Gartner)..love and hate that woman. She’s always talking about use “good olive olive” or “good vanilla”... and I’m always like... BIOTCH.. I don’t vacation on Martha’s Vineyard or have a gourmet kitchen or a husband named Jefferey who works on Wall Street. I am going to Food Maxx and I’m going to buy what’s on sale, and that shit will taste great, and perhaps better than yours with your privileged-ass vanilla from the gourmet grocer up the street from your summer beach home. But I digress.. yeah they’re a bit decadent.

Nah it's good for basics, who doesn't want to learn to cook themselves good eats?
