Do you beat yourself up over every mistake?

That would be a mistake that I would also need to beat myself up over, which would also be a mistake that I would need to beat myself up over, which... ah you get the idea. I’m too lazy for that shit.

I used to do it a lot. But one thing thats really helped me out (and something I'd really encourage you to try, Dingus) is every once in a while just reflect on what you've done in the last few weeks, but describe it to yourself in a positive way (if you made mistakes - you learned from them and didn't repeat them)... given I'm like you it never gets to the level of ego stroking but it does help you to be more forgiving to yourself when you see the progress you've made or the discipline you've displayed. The world is hard enough as it is without getting in our own way.
