How do you usually deal with the fact you have been severely betrayed and lied to?

Shakespeare once said "Though those that are betrayed do feel the treason sharply, yet the traitor stands in worse case of woe"

Not gonna lie, it'd crush me and I'd need some time to process before getting up. I would seek some quiet time to sort my thoughts. Usually, I realize that their betrayal didn't change anything other than hurting me, so once I heal, everything will go back to the way it is. When I feel self-doubt about the thing they did, I'll try to talk to someone and remember how I came all the way here from my standpoint. Recovering from a betrayal is not the same for everyone, but taking the time to acknowledge our feelings and sort things on my mind would help. It hurts because betrayal never comes from an enemy, it's always from someone we've trusted.
