So it’s a tricky one because I think I lack enough self awareness to truly answer it because like…I may have media that I love a lot but does it actually influenced my art ? I don’t know, it’s hard to see 😆

But I will try ! I think one of my first influences was Steven universe simply because I began to draw when I was a huge fan of it 😆 I loved Rebecca Sugar’s artstyle and was completely in adoration of her little unfinished comic “Margo in bed” ❤️

Then of course Naoki Urasawa’s works even tho I think I never actual “got” his style… how many time did I try to draw Atom and Tenma how he exactly drew them and failed completely ? I tell you, a lot😆

I loved Naruto and Shaman king back in highschool and my childhood was full of Astérix and other French comics, maybe they still influence my art today…

Now a special mention to Otava Heikkilä ! ( https://x.com/claystorks?s=21&t=4x_y_DRoOx_PjzQwUSNhjw ) his erotic works were just mind opening, it’s so hot but there’s a subtlety to it, and how he is inspired by ancient history and all… a true art model, if my art can have just a fraction of the beauty of his works, I would die happy 😭💕

Now speaking of other media like music and writing, it’s hard to guess if it influenced me or not but here’s a short list of what nourish my soul the most : asoiaf series and the locked tomb | metal music with a certain flair like primordial, enslaved and summoning ✨

Hmm well I think I got into Tezuka via Urasawa’s Pluto actually ! But I was an ignorant teen back then, I read it just as the volumes got released, I loved the story and all but… I had no idea about Tezuka and the original Astro boy story it came from 😆

My actual first encounter with Tezuka works was during my first trip in Japan and one of the people who organized the trip invited me to their house and I browsed their bookshelves and saw volumes of Buddha by Tezuka. They let me alone for a long time lol so I just began to read it and I was hooked by the style like… it’s serious, sometimes tragic even but it got some silly moments too… the story was told in a way that was just incredibly engaging and entertaining I think and it got me curious to read more of Tezuka’s works after that 😄

My favorite is between Astro boy and Black Jack ! ❤️✨ One of my friends is a huge Black Jack fan ( and Pinoko enjoyer ) and it got me to appreciate it even more ☺️

The one I wish people would know more about hmm….strangely “ode to kirihito” 😆 because it’s like… a very weird and dark story and I think some people may mainly associate Tezuka with cute things but he drew a lot of fucked up things too… I guess there’s MW too but… ode to kirihito is just such a wild ride, I want people who can handle that kind of stuff to experience it too 😄

Also “rise of the birdmen” ! Idk I got a soft spot for that one too, more than the story is the birdmen designs that I enjoyed the most 😆

Tenma doesn’t have particular preference for holidays ( he would hate obon tho, the days for celebrating the dead coming back among the living… he doesn’t believe in that, the whole tradition make him feel particularly miserable… )

But for Atom, definitely Christmas ! ✨ In Japan, the celebration are kinda more couple oriented than family oriented, you eat fried chicken and a Christmas cake and spend a nice evening with your loved one, Atom would love to spent time like that with Tenma ❤️ and there’s also all the additional symbolism around Christmas, Christmas Eve is a holy night, it’s the time of miracles and be kind to each other… those notions would please Atom. He would also love to buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with his dad ❤️ I think Tenma would feel neutral about this holiday but he loves spending time with Atom and watching him getting so excited about celebrating 🥹

Now that I think more about it, Tenma would maybe prefer new year holiday, in Japan you spend it with your family and it can be very chill, just staying at home, eating some new year food and play games 💕 Atom would still insist they go to the nearby shrine for the first prayer of the year, it’s a very common thing to do and you can find your new year fortune here, Tenma doesn’t like going to shrines and temples especially in new year since it’s so crowded lol but again he would indulge Atom for this day ❤️

That’s a very good question ! 😲 Hmm to be honest, I’m just going with my headcanons here but :

Atom’s favorite song would probably be something like kawa no nagare no youni by Hibari Misora ( https://youtu.be/IP3A_eXlL1E?si=rMuGbG9IQZGoB5CK ) since I hc he loves enka 😄
He would really love old songs from some anime, the ending song of Ganba no Bouken for example ( https://youtu.be/JuLMfxQ6OGo?si=U9SV6kiGaOTc_TEX )
But he can enjoy pop music too ! I just think he would have a sweet spot for songs with a little bit of melancholy in it ☺️

For Tenma, he would love classical music and jazz I think.
I don’t know enough about classical music to be sure what song he would prefer but maybe something like The Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Bach ( https://youtu.be/ho9rZjlsyYY?si=rC9TwUbEzLPufInn ) since he plays the organ 😄
And for jazz, I also don’t know much about it lol but maybe something like “born under a bad sign” by the Big Mama Thornton ( https://youtu.be/Rq0B1gp4ic8?si=ZS4G4auqDhzAzk4M ) but that’s actually blues i think so… he would like jazz and blues then 😄 He would enjoy melancholic songs like Atom but they need more of hmm “force” to it for him to like I think 😅

Atom would prefer songs with a soft sense of sadness while Tenma would prefer songs about expressing strong feelings of despair 🤭

So concerning my favorite food in feeding scenarios :

Running cheese ! ( Like on a pizza for example ) Meat with a lot of sauce, honey…
I like food that stains easily hehe, watching your loved one getting their hands and mouth dirty is so good, and after wiping their mouth with a tissue or your own tongue…. Hehehuhuhe 🥴💦

I also like soups and stews, for a more comforting approach like the act of eating a nice home cooked nourishing meal is simple but really nice, especially during winter, eating while cuddling… 🥰
