Elio would easily be one of the Colosseum Masters in Pokemon Battle Revolution - hired as a temp by Mysterial to drum up more business for Pokétopia via using Elio's international renown as both a Battler and Coordinator to draw in more visitors and potential challengers.

If we're including fan games, then he would definitely be a prominent character in Pokemon Reborn or Rejuvenation; in the case of the latter, he would be the substitute Champion, having taken the Aevium Gym Challenge and beaten the E8 two years prior to the main story. During that time, he would be asked by Damien and Alexandra to act as the regional champion until a new permanent one would be found - respecting his wishes to not be bound to one region forever. Typically, he would be introduced earlier on in the story and then appear sporadically to thwart Team Xen, do his utmost to be a peacekeeper, and assist the player whenever possible.

He would later appear as the true second-in-command of the Black Foxes in Pokemon Desolation - personally recruited by Lilith through a series of events closely tied to New Tork City's resident Darkrai: Mephisto. The latter would lend Elio to the B.F. leader if it meant screwing over the very Darkrai that caused Mephisto to become tied to New Tork in the first place.
