What makes you more attached to an oc over others? :o ie: the difference between enjoying them causally and being F E R A L about them

How much ive talked abt them with tokay generally does it, but also the more fun i find an oc the better

Honestly cannot tell you because the two that I focus on are vastly different. On one hand we have a calm and elegant person with tenacity and on the other a feral kid with a vendetta , maybe just how much time I put into thinking of them?

The fact that some are way more based on parts of myself than others gives a deeper empathy.

i'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but i'm always more attached to an oc if they have some tie to a canon character JSDJHDS for instance, my oc/canon ship with ophelia is probably a big factor as to why she's so fleshed out (and why i talk about her so much). penelope's still a little shaky, but she's supposed to be in kahoots with pasio's royal family, so I've kinda put in some extra effort on that front as well.

If I've managed to come up with a full arc for them. I'm totally fine with OCs who just exist as fun characters, but I'm more likely to become invested in them if I can actually trace a character journey for them.

I think for me it's just about how much fun they are to talk about and headcanon with

For me it's partly the design as well as how fun they are to develop ideas for.

For me it's the characters that have been developed more in Full over the others. Currently building the Lore for one of the characters that will be getting quite the focus soon, so they've been more on my mind right along side one certain Red Head-o-mine.

HONESTLY? If they're like the "main character" of the verse, I wanna talk more about my kids but since people are more familiar with the MC ones I tend to put them in the spotlight more.
I hope this year I get to talk more about my other kids!!

I adore seeing the different facets of an OC's personality/backstory on display, especially interacting with other characters.

The more I see how a character acts in different situations (or at least learning tidbits about how they tick), it makes them feel so engaging and vibrant, and in turn makes me want to know more about them.
