It depends on what type of person he's dealing with. Elio faces a large variety of trainers, but a good percentage of them are either arrogant and abusive trainers or Pokemon Hunters. So, technically, he would have two (tentative) battle quotes - which reflects his current mood.

Positive (Tentative): "This should be interesting. I can see in your eyes that you're a kind soul with a fiery passion for Pokemon. I like it! But... why does it seem like you have to prove? Is it for me or someone else? AAAAHHH~ screw it! I'll find out anyways in this battle! But, I gotta say, I deeply respect you using it as your drive! It's brought you this far and will probably take you further. As a fellow trainer with a similar drive, I gotta respond in earnest, shouldn't I? Now... let's see who comes out on top! Oh yeah... whoever wins, no hard feelings, right?"

Negative (Tentative): Heavy annoyed sigh "It's bad enough I'm stuck cleaning up trash, but now my Pokemon are gonna be exposed to your bullshit. Fuck it, I'm gonna end this quickly - no mercy. I feel bad for your Pokemon since they're gonna end up paying for your stupidity. But for their sake, I'll make sure you NEVER hold a Pokeball ever again. I would suggest you pray to whatever god you believe in, but, spoilers, I won't be listening!"
